Forever-Forever follows 15-year-old Tonia, who moves to a new school to escape her abusive ex. Despite her shyness, she quickly becomes friends with a group of rebellious teenagers who roam the post-socialist suburbs of Kyiv. Tonia’s life becomes even more complicated when she finds herself in a love triangle. As she struggles with the gang’s rules and her own identity, it becomes clear that the games they play have no winners. Forever-Forever is an intense love drama and a tribute to the young people of the first post-Soviet generation. Director Anna Buryachkova offers a unique perspective on coming of age in the tumultuous 1990s, shedding light on the complexities of teenage love and self-discovery.
