The viewer need not count on any kind of framing. The Idiots, as its English title reads, is about a group of intellectuals posing as ‘idiots’. By allowing their ‘inner idiot’ to speak, they want to create a better world. How far are they willing to go with that? Pre-eminently a film that shocks or fascinates- there is no middle ground.
