Summer is the season to get outside. While the sun is shining brightly, it is nice to take a refreshing dip, relax on a rug in a park or head to the seaside.
- Picnic

- Beach and dunes
Haarlem is ideally located near the beach. Enjoy the beautiful coast of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort. Experience the refreshing sea air during a beach walk, relax on a beach bed or have lunch at one of the many beach bars. Between Haarlem and the sea lies National Park Zuid-Kennemerland. The park has a wonderful range of hiking trails and especially the Kennemer Dunes are very popular. No wonder! Here you will find beautiful pieces of forest and dune, but also small dune lakes. - Trial Park
At Tasting Park, you can enjoy late summer in Kenau Park. The last weekend before schools start again, on August 30 and 31 and September 1, the monumental park is once again filled with food trucks. 30 traveling kitchens will prepare the best street, soul and comfort food. Throughout the weekend are acts and various activities for young and old. For example, kids can have a dance at the silent disco.
Shopping
An average offer? You won't find that in the Gouden Straatjes. What you do find is an old-fashioned shopping atmosphere and countless special boutiques. From concept stores and vintage stores to specialty craft stores and exclusive design.
The Golden Streets lie around the Grand Place, the central square in the heart of the city. Each street has something special. The Warmoesstraat, for example, is the most beautiful in the city. Go to the Anegang for the latest trends and the Schagchelstraat is full of crafts.
