Stately monumental buildings and exclusive stores set the tone in the first part (right around the corner of the Grote Markt), smaller stores and trendy restaurants surprise you in the second part of the Zijlstraat (just cross the Nassaulaan). For lovers of second-hand finds and curiosities, this part of the street is a little Valhalla. The Zijlstraat, known from the famous board game Monopoly, is one of the largest streets in all the Golden Streets. In the tall historic buildings you can find stylistic clothing stores, interspersed with trendy coffee bars and other fantastic stores.
