On Sunday, April 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Grote Markt in Haarlem will host the
Flower Market with tulip picking garden will be organized. Come enjoy diverse spring
offerings at the Flower Market or dive into the colorful tulip picking garden.
From March 6 to April 2, Haarlem's shopping streets will be in bloom with tulips. Each week different shopping streets will be featured. Would you like to get your hands on a tulip with a bulb? Make a purchase (min. €10,-) at the entrepreneur and pick your tulip! More information.Â
This beautiful spring bloomer is called the Haarlem Chimes. The plant was mainly found in the surroundings of Haarlem, but almost disappeared. Thanks to grower Edwin Visser, the unique plant continues to exist. The Haarlems Klokkenspel is available at VVV Haarlem.
Visit Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. The park has a wonderful array of hiking trails, and the Kennemer Dunes are especially popular. No wonder! Here you will find beautiful stretches of forest and dune, as well as small dune lakes. It always feels a bit like vacation.
National Park Zuid-Kennemerland is located between Haarlem and the coast. Enjoy the beautiful coast of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal. Take a relaxing beach walk and experience the refreshing sea air. After your walk, stop by one of the many beach bars for a snack or drink.Â
On March 21, the Keukenhof: the most beautiful spring park in the world! The park in Lisse is a setting for 7 million spring blooms. The Keukenhof has activities for adults and for children. You can take a guided tour and there is a treasure hunt. Of course, you can also walk around the park by yourself and take the most colorful pictures. The Keukenhof is open through May 12 and is just a half-hour drive from Haarlem.Â
An average offer? You won't find that in the Golden Streets. What you do find is an old-fashioned cozy shopping atmosphere and countless special boutiques. From concept stores and vintage stores to specialty craft stores and exclusive design.
The seven Golden Streets surround the Grand Place, the central square in the heart of the city. Each street has something special.Â

Admission is free and there are almost always calves, goats, chickens, pigs and rabbits to see. Zorgvrij Farm is within cycling distance of Haarlem. You cycle through the beautiful natural area of Spaarnwoude Park.Â
