Femke's favorite hotspots for coffee in Haarlem

The choice for cool coffee hotspots is huge in Haarlem.

Native

Native is located in the beautiful and cozy Breestraat in the district of the Vijfhoek. It is my second home and how I love the nice atmosphere, the love for everything beautiful, the sweet girls who pamper you and all the goodies they serve.

A household name for 8 years now and now under the inspired leadership of foodie Eva. They serve delicious coffee from White Label, divine cakes, finger licking sandwiches with the best ketchup and much more. You must visit this gem if you are in the area. Also check out the most beautiful flower store across the street and its other neighbors Petit Depot and Brick.

Jules

At Jules on the Turfmarkt overlooking the Spaarne is the ultimate in enjoyment.
The combination of the stylish interior, the finest coffees served in beautiful pottery and all kinds of goodies to go with them (the cinnamon rolls are my favorite) make this Specialty Coffee Bar a fine hot spot where I love to come.

Owners Linda and Renwe have gone out of their way to make their establishment a place where you quickly feel at home. On the sunny terrace you can enjoy the bustle of the city, with boats passing by and locals on bikes there is plenty to see.

Ax Specialty Coffee

Ax Specialty Coffee is the smallest coffee bar in Haarlem, but definitely recommended. Owner Axel worked for years in various coffee shops and with the opening of his own coffee bar in the historic center of Haarlem, a dream has come true. At Ax you will find great coffees, special teas, 'awesome' Prana Chai, artisanal pastries, croissants and breakfast. Ax values sustainability and quality, which is why he likes to work with local businesses. Each with a passion for the product they provide.

Fancy a pastel de nata to go with that delicious Ax coffee? Or rather a tasty lunch? Then check out the deli of neighbor The Butcher's Daughter.

Guusje sells the most delicious artisan products: cheeses, soft drinks, beer and wines with the most beautiful labels, oil & vinegar, freshly made sandwiches that you have to taste. Homemade salads, meat, fish, but also vegan products.

Anne&Max

Anne&Max has been located in Haarlem since 2005, now they have a new location, namely on the Grote Markt, with a fantastic terrace. So now I am already 18 years loyal visitor of this living room in the city. Anne&Max now has 29 branches throughout the Netherlands. They stand for sustainability, hospitality, honest business and they are planet friendly. As far as coffee goes, you're definitely in the right place. They serve coffee from Utrecht roaster Keen. At all locations you can go for all day breakfast & brunch, coffee & cake, lunch, high tea & drinks.

Cleeff Frans Hals & Kleverparkweg

Cleeff has two branches in Haarlem. At Cleeff Frans Hals they not only serve White Label coffee, but also homemade lunch, cake and drinks, inside and outside on the terrace in the patio. Or get a coffee to-go for on the go. You'll find them next to the Frans Hals Museum on Groot Heiligland. This establishment is decorated in delicate pastel colors by Studio Paradijs.

Cleeff in the Kleverpark is located in a cool building, where the pharmacy used to be. Owners Merel and Rik have also created a pleasant atmosphere here with lots of light and a wooden floor, making it a good place to stay with them.
