Femke's favorite drinks spots in Haarlem

Do you feel like having a drink? You can do that incredibly well in Haarlem.

Wine bar VIQH

Wine bar VIQH is located in the center of Haarlem in a beautiful national monument. It also happens to be the former home of Haarlem painter Frans Hals.

The interior is mostly champagne colored. A treat as far as I'm concerned, because the eye wants something too. But there is also a red room and white room.

VIQH has 120 wines on the menu and everything can be served by the glass. The inspired staff is happy to advise you. In addition to wines by the glass, you can also do tastings of half glasses and order tasty appetizers to go with them.

Should the wines taste like more, you can also organize a wine tasting at home. Under the guidance of an experienced sommelier, you can taste different personalized wines.

Taru

Taru in the Gouden Straatje de Koningstraat is a cozy cocktail bar where everything is right. Owners Jev & Dennis have a passion for cocktails, experience and beautiful flavor combinations and you notice it in everything. The interior is a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese. It is minimalist, light and stylish and definitely inviting.

Taru means vessel in Japanese and myth in Finnish. The owners were inspired by the attention to detail and craftsmanship characteristic of both cultures.

The love for making cocktails and highballs, the enthusiasm and high level of hospitality are exceptional and make Bar Taru a unique place.

The Butcher's Daughter

The Butcher's Daughter is the deli in Haarlem where you eat delicious sandwiches and get beautiful products from small-scale entrepreneurs. Formerly Slagerij Broekhof and now the Slagersdochter. Owner Guusje knows what tastes good. That can hardly be otherwise if it has been instilled with the ladle.

Would you like to enjoy all kinds of goodies at home, on the boat or during a picnic? Then order a drinks board and some delicious wines and beers here. Enjoy!

Guusje sells the most delicious artisanal products: cheeses, soft drinks, beer and wines with the most beautiful labels, oil, vinegar, freshly made sandwiches that you have to taste, homemade salads, meat and fish, but also vegan products. The Butcher's Daughter chooses consciously and honestly and you can see and taste that. One of my favorites is the pastel de nata. This is even better with a coffee from the neighbor Axel of Axel Specialty Coffee.

Locael

Locael Central is a fine hotspot next to the train station and a few minutes' walk from downtown. The light, hip interior and versatile menu invite you to sit back and enjoy. Owner Peter and his enthusiastic team serve breakfast from 8:00 am and later in the day also extensive lunch, dinner and drinks.

In terms of wines, cocktails and beers, there is plenty of choice. But of course a good snack should not be missing. Locael serves the best fries in Haarlem: our local Friethoes fries with for example Holtkamp bitterballen. But do you fancy something else? Then there is plenty of choice. How about veggie samosas, oysters or Turkish bread with dip.

For the VRIJMIBO, Locael packs up nicely with a DJ starting at 5 pm. Then you can not only enjoy drinks, but also dance.

Pip Deli

Owner Pip had a catering business for years, but her dream was a permanent location and that dream has come true. What an asset to Haarlem! This cool deli is located at the Lorentzplein. Pip can not only cook delicious food, she also has a very good sense of atmosphere and experience. You immediately feel at home in this atmospheric and cozy place.

Pip serves breakfast, lunch and drinks, and on Fridays you can join us for drinks and petit diner.

There are plenty of great wines, cocktails and various beers to choose from. Combine these with one of the tasty snacks from the drinks menu and you don't have to do anything but sit back and enjoy. In summer, the south-facing terrace is perfect for that as well.

Beautiful Boules

The adult must play. That is the motto of Beautiful Boules. This boules food bar is deliciously versatile and cozy. You can not only play games, but also eat and drink. A top mix for a successful evening with your friends, family or colleagues.

With a large terrace on the Spaarne, the location of Mooie Boules is perfect. You imagine yourself in France with the outdoor bar, a real fountain and the boules lanes. But also for karaoke, shuffleboard, darts and a lot of board games, this is the place to be.

Did you get hungry after all those games? That's good, because the choice is vast in terms of snacks and drinks. The menu is large with cocktails, wine and beer from Jopen and Uiltje and all sorts of goodies from Haarlem partners Fishbar Monk, Roast Bistro Bar and Ron Gastrobar,
