King's Day

Haarlem turns orange

Saturday
April 27

Do you also start the day with a tasty orange tompouce? You can order your orange tompouce in advance at several Haarlem bakeries. Stroll through the free market and score something beautiful or go crazy at one of the many stages. From spijkerpoepen and koekhappen to kermis and popping parties! Haarlem has it!

From Haarlem-North to Schalkwijk and downtown, free markets and live music are bursting with activity. Enjoy stages in the Vijfhoek, Zijlstraat and Kenaupark. Haarlem restaurants serve drinks at outdoor bars. Or discover Haarlem from the water on the Spaarne and enjoy culinary stops. If you also want to sample some culture, you can enjoy several concerts and community singing at the Grote or St. Bavo Church. Definitely not to be missed are the traditional fairs at the Grote Markt and Zaanenlaan in Haarlem-North. From the Ferris wheel on the Grote Markt you have a beautiful view of the city.
